In Japan, the art of aizome, indigo dyeing, has been carefully cultivated for centuries. We partnered with a family workshop that has honed this craft for over five generations, hand-dyeing cotton fabric into countless indelible shades, using fermented Japanese indigo (ai) that they have prepared by hand in decades-old indigo casks.
We like to think of CYPRÈS 21 as a cabin deep in the woods, a hushed retreat, out of reach of buzzing phones and blue light. An antidote to burnout. Bright, resinous cypress is supported by an understory of spicy aromatics – juniper, clove, and star anise – all of them grounded by the warmth of incense and seductive spell of patchouli. We can’t claim it will lower your cortisol, but we offer a quiet moment of peace with CYPRÈS 21.
